Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy

We have a socially responsible approach to our people, our clients, professional contacts and suppliers.  Please read on to see what we understand CSR to mean and the actions we are taking to be a sustainable business.

What is CSR?

CSR is about how we consider the interests of society by taking responsibility for the impact of our activities on clients, other people in the firm, communities and the environment in all aspects of our operations.  We work together to manage our business processes to produce an overall positive impact on society.

What do we do?

The firm has now rationalised its approach to all these matters and adopted a structured CSR policy under four main headings:

Clients
Our People
Community
Environmental

Clients

= we obtain feedback from clients on what they want from our services
= providing information to clients in electronic form
= sharing our environmental law knowledge with our clients and suppliers
= Lexcel accreditation since 1999

Our People

  • = we maintain best practice in our HR and Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • = we have a Give as You Earn payroll giving scheme
  • = raising the awareness of our people and to environmental impacts and ensure the effectiveness of our environmental policy and to make our contractors and suppliers aware of it
  • = travel policies which encourage the use of public transport, particularly for longer journeys. The firm's offices are located close to mainline stations.
