Trainee solicitors are the firm's future assistants, associates and partners so we put a strong emphasis on individually tailoring training and development to your needs and aspirations.
- A comprehensive induction programme helps you adjust to working life and your career in business and law
- The training contract is divided into four six month seats, allocated in your preferred practice areas as far as possible
- Exposure to a variety of areas of law within each seat
- Exposure to marketing and business development
- A thorough grounding, regular coaching and early exposure to clients are key elements
- You have a dedicated Trainee Supervisor, and 3-monthly appraisals that give you the opportunity talk through your progress, development needs and future path
- Our Training Partner and Head of Human Resources co-ordinate your education in the law, procedure, commerce, marketing, IT and personal skills
- The firm is a founder member of Law South Professional Skills and provides in-house training with Trainee Solicitors from other leading South of England firms.

Selection procedure
- We appoint people on the basis of intellectual ability, commercial appreciation, enthusiasm, drive, initiative, and strong interpersonal and team-working skills
- A degree in any discipline at Grade 2:1 is the minimum requirement
- If selected for interview, you will meet a wide variety of staff to give you a full feel for the culture and experience you can expect
- Your assessment interview is with the Training Partner and Head of Human Resources
- We offer 5 training contract opportunities each year.
