Nick Lewsley, Trainee Solicitor
I am thoroughly enjoying my training contract. I have recently finished
my first seat which was in the Dispute Resolution Department where I was
given responsibility over a number of files and handled a variety of
issues. The emphasis is very much on development and I have been given a
large amount of client contact and involvement on case transactions.
The work can be difficult and challenging but the support is excellent.
Working closely with Partners and other fee earners I feel my input has
been recognised and fully appreciated.
I have been impressed with the strong social emphasis at TS&P with a
regular line up of lunches, drinks evenings and sporting events.

Nicola Maier, Trainee Solicitor
I chose to apply to TS&P as I knew it had an excellent reputation for training and received interesting and high quality work. I was very pleased when I was offered a training contract, and since starting I have found that there is a real "hands-on" approach with plenty of client exposure from day one which is excellent experience for life once we qualify as solicitors. I have been impressed at how friendly, open and professional my colleagues are and have enjoyed my time in the personal injury and clinical negligence department immensely. The quality of work received is high and my supervisor is very encouraging and supportive which is very helpful when you are facing a particularly challenging piece of work. There is an active sports and social committee which organises social events and a work/life balance is genuinely actively encouraged. I have really enjoyed my training so far and look forward to the new challenges which await me in my new seat!

Sarah Robbins, Trainee Solicitor
When I started my training contract I was pleasantly surprised to learn that TS&P had just been named best trainer for a medium regional firm, so I knew I had come to the right place. As a trainee, you are given the opportunity to work on interesting cases from day one and although I have only been at the firm for two months, I have already had direct client contact and played an important role in running a number of files. Although the idea of dealing with real clients in real legal situations can often seem daunting when studying law at university and on the LPC I have found it extremely rewarding, particularly in my current department, residential conveyancing, where you are able to see a transaction through from beginning to end. At the same time it is reassuring to know that you can call on experienced lawyers who are always happy to offer guidance to trainees. TS&P also places a great deal of emphasis on the social and home life of its staff. A range of events throughout the year enable trainees and other staff to socialise with each other and, unless work is urgent, you are actively encouraged not to work into the evening - something which is perhaps unusual for a solicitors firm! With TS&P's strong reputation in the South East and recent expansion into the Thames Gateway, it is an exciting time to be a trainee here, and I am looking forward to the rest of my training contract and to the challenges and rewards that my remaining seats will offer
