Beautician tears client’s labia during Brazilian wax

Our team of clinical negligence lawyers based at our Tunbridge Wells office, has secured compensation for the a women who had her skin and labia torn whilst undergoing waxing treatment.

The claimant went to see her beautician for a waxing treatment. She was having a Brazilian wax. As the therapist removed some of the wax the claimant sustained a tear to her labia. Had the treatment been carried out correctly her skin would not have been torn.

We were successful in negotiating settlement of this claim with the beauty salon’s insurers for £5,000. They agreed the beauty therapist was negligent in the way she provided her treatment. The salon was vicariously liable for the actions of the therapist.

During our investigation our client was examined by a Consultant Gynaecologist to ensure that the tear had healed and would not cause her any further problems in the future.
