Press releaseNew Joiners for Commercial Group at Thomson Snell & Passmore Leading regional law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore, with its head office in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, has continued the expansion of its Commercial Group with the recruitment of a further two senior lawyers. James Herbert becomes the fourth partner in the Firm's Corporate & Commercial team. He joins from the London corporate department of leading international law firm, Allen & Overy LLP. James qualified as a solicitor in 1997 with Leeds firm, Walker Morris, prior to joining Allen & Overy as a senior associate in 2000. He has broad experience of commercial and corporate finance transactions including mergers, acquisitions and disposals (UK and cross-border), public takeovers, private equity leveraged transactions, joint ventures and providing general corporate advice. Richard Ellard, Associate, joins the Commercial Property team from another Kent firm and was previously a managing associate in the real estate team at Linklaters in London. Richard deals with a wide range of commercial property transactions including landlord and tenant matters as well as acquisitions and disposals for corporates, institutions and private investors. He advises on the real estate aspects of large scale corporate transactions and has also been involved in a number of PFI/PPP and multi-jurisdictional transactions. Richard also qualified as a solicitor in 1997.
