Pineapple Property (Kent) Limited, advised by Bell Dening Solicitors, have entered into a ten year lease of the Harbour Arm and will be undertaking a grant funded program of refurbishment. The project is a significant boost for this part of Kent with funding coming from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the private sector and Thanet District Council. The regeneration project will provide employment and regeneration to Margate and be a significant boost to local businesses. The Harbour Arm will be used for a mix of cafes, artists studios, art galleries and retail units. The project is an important part of Thanet District Council's strategy to regenerate the town centre. With its close proximity to Margate Old Town and the Turner Contemporary project the Harbour Arm is an important location in the town and Thanet District Council are pleased to have secured its future. Derek Harding, Programme Director of the Margate Renewal Partnership said " Working with such a regional heavyweight firm as Thomson Snell & Passmore ensured that the deal went through effectively. We are delighted with the level of service we received and the depth of commercially minded legal advice."
