2009 begins with two new hires for Thomson Snell & Passmore

Thomson Snell & Passmore announces two new hires with the appointment of Joanne Wright who joins the firm's Commercial Property department as a Senior Associate, and Joel Kelly, who joins Corporate & Commercial as an Associate.

Joanne Wright, formerly of Nabarro LLP, has a wealth of experience advising clients on many aspects of commercial property, ranging from portfolio acquisitions and corporate transactions to asset management work for both retail and office space.
Joanne's recent work includes advising on the property aspects of a 50:50 joint venture for a £450 million development of a mixed use scheme in central London and acting for a German fund on the £39 million acquisition of an office building in Liverpool.
Commenting on her appointment, Joanne said:
“I am delighted to be joining the Commercial Property department at Thomson Snell & Passmore, based in the Thames Gateway office; the department has a great reputation and is very client focussed”.
Joel Kelly joins the firm's Corporate & Commercial department from ASB Law, having trained and spent more than two years after qualification with Slaughter and May in the City. Joel specialises in corporate law and has experience advising on a broad spectrum of matters ranging from equity capital markets work to private equity investments and debt financings. Joel's experience with owner-managed businesses includes advising on many issues including shareholders' agreements, private acquisitions and discrete points of corporate governance and regulation.
