Thomson Snell & Passmore has advised Industrial and Provident Society, English Hops Limited (formerly English Hops and Herbs Limited) on its change of name, Rules and members' marketing contracts.
Partner and Head of Corporate & Commercial, James Herbert advised long standing client, English Hops Limited (EHL) in connection with important changes to its Rules and ongoing arrangements with its members. The changes which were driven by the Co-operative's decision to concentrate on providing support and marketing services to hop growers were approved by members at a Special General Meeting held at the end of June and approved by the Financial Services Authority during July.
Commenting on the project, James Herbert said:
"The firm acts for a number of Industrial and Provident Societies which meant that we were well placed to assist EHL in implementing these changes. We very much enjoyed working with John Moss and his team and wish the Co-operative and its members every success in the future."
John Moss, secretary of EHL commented:
"James and his team offered the expected high level of support and professional service and were always accurate, thorough and willing to offer useful practical advice in relation to all aspects of this project. I have found the TS&P team to be very easy to work with and especially helpful in exploring areas which need judgement to be applied."
