Firm announces a series of promotions

Thomson Snell & Passmore today announces a number of significant promotions with the appointment of a new Equity Partner, four new Senior Associates, five new Associates and a Legal Executive Associate.
This latest round of promotions brings the total number of Equity Partners at the firm to 18 and demonstrates the firm's confidence in the future and its commitment to investing in its people.
Partner Joanna Pratt (Family) has been promoted to Equity Partner. She advises on a wide range of family matters including divorce, disputes relating to children and domestic violence. Joanna has been with Thomson Snell & Passmore since 2005.
Joel Kelly (Corporate and Commercial), Sue Lister (Commercial Property), John Spence (Dispute Resolution) and Mark Steggles (Dispute Resolution) have been promoted to Senior Associate. Joel Kelly, who joined the firm in 2009, specialises in corporate law and advises on a broad spectrum of transactions. Sue Lister’s areas of expertise include agricultural and rural business property issues and commercial property. John Spence and Mark Steggles both specialise in resolving disputes relating to property.
Five of the firm's Assistant Solicitors have been promoted to Associate. Anna Bond (Private Client) joined the firm in 2005 and specialises in all aspects of Court of Protection and deputyship work. Catherine Furnish (Clinical Negligence / Personal Injury) is an experienced solicitor having joined the firm in 2003 and has extensive knowledge of cases involving clinical negligence, head injury claims and fatal claims. Chris Kirby-Turner (Construction & Engineering), who joined the firm in 2006, specialises in contentious construction & engineering matters through mediation, the TCC, arbitration and adjudication. Erin Minchell- Bewick (Residential Conveyancing) and Owen Walsh (Commercial Property) have also been promoted.
Jonathan Herbert (Clinical Negligence / Personal Injury) is an experienced personal injury lawyer and is individually accredited as senior litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Jonathan has been promoted to Legal Executive Associate.
