Thomson Snell & Passmore win award second year running

Thomson Snell & Passmore has won the ‘2010 Best Recruiter for a medium sized regional firm’ Award at the Lawcareers.net Annual Awards for the second year in a row.

Thomson Snell & Passmore saw off competition from other regional firms including Blandy & Blandy LLP, DMH Stallard LLP, Gordons LLP, IBB Solicitors, Knights LLP and Stevens & Bolton LLP.

Rebecca Boorman, Human Resources Co-ordinator was presented with the award at a ceremony held at Stationers' Hall in London and attended by some 170 guests.

The Training and Recruitment Awards run by lawcareers.net are now in their seventh year and this is the third time Thomson Snell & Passmore have won one of these awards and the second year in a row in this specific category. There are other categories for City-based, regional and small firms ranging from Best Recruiter, Best Trainer and Best Work Placement Scheme to a Commendation for Workplace Diversity run in association with Real World, the recruitment magazine.

Thomson Snell & Passmore’s recruitment process was described by respondents as incredibly friendly and genuine with respondents also impressed by the ability of interviewers to put candidates at ease and encourage honest answers. The firm was selected from the results of an in-depth survey of nearly 3,000 trainees and newly qualified solicitors, representing 80 law firms.
