Head of Commercial Property & Development goes under a razor to raise much needed funds for hospices
10/04/2009
Partner and Head of Commercial Property, Gilbert Green was recently challenged to have the beard he grew after a recent operation shaved off in public to raise money for EllenorLions Hospices and Hospice in the Weald, the firm's chosen charities for 2009 and 2010.
Never having been one to refuse a challenge, Gilbert went through with the shave and has raised over £1800 for the firm's charities.
Gilbert commented "I am extremely grateful to all those who sponsored me which included many clients and professional contacts of the firm. It will go a long way to help those who would otherwise be without help. They are both wonderful organisations."
Other recent fundraising events by staff included an Easter egg hunt at their offices in Tunbridge Wells and Thames Gateway.
These combined efforts, including a donation from a charitable trust (Ann Brown Charitable Trust) have raised £7529.10 which will greatly benefit both charities.
