Thomson Snell & Passmore makes Headway with Ground Force day

Friday 17 October 2008 saw the Personal Injury team from Thomson Snell & Passmore volunteer at Headway Charity centre as part of the community based project designed to help the social rehabilitation of people who have sustained a brain injury.

Headway is a national charity that works for local communities supporting both victims and families affected by brain injuries. Headway is affiliated to a national network of centres and has been supporting people for more than twenty years. It helps people with brain injury to come to terms with their new circumstances and re-integrate into family and community life. 2009 marks the 21st year for the charity.

Thomson Snell & Passmore helped the charity with its landscape gardening project to make the garden and its surrounding more accessible for its members. The centre is an important hub of activity for the charity with activities and projects being developed to help those suffering from brain injury.

Jonathan Clement, Partner and Personal Injury Team Leader, from Thomson Snell & Passmore said:

“Headway is a very worthwhile charity to support and, as a firm which has been based in Kent for a very long time, we are keen to help a cause which offers an invaluable service to the local community. It was a great experience and the team enjoyed contributing towards the charity's new centre.”

Diane Drummond, manager of Headway said:

“We are really grateful for the help that Thomson Snell & Passmore have offered. It would have taken Headway many weeks to achieve what the firm has done in a day.

“Personal contact with local businesses and the wider community benefits everyone involved. Headway would welcome interest from any possible volunteers, either with special skills for the centre or back room help with fundraising, publicity and leaflet distribution.”
