Thomson Snell & Passmore trainees host annual quiz for Shelter

Once again, Kent Junior Lawyers Division held a very successful Annual Quiz Night in aid of Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, on 11 March 2010.

As with previous years, the event was organised on a 'zero budget' by the Thomson Snell & Passmore first year trainee solicitors.

The quiz, held at High Rocks, Tunbridge Wells, was very well attended, and teams both from within the firm and from other local businesses participated in the hope of taking home the 2010 winners' trophy, kindly donated by Timpson Limited. After 11 closely fought rounds, including a music 'intros' round and a picture 'table' round, the team entered by Knights Solicitors, "Knight's Templar", were victorious.

Also hotly contested was winning the accolade of the best team name. For the quality of the legal pun, this was won by the Thomson Snell & Passmore residential conveyancing department team, "The Official Copies".

A raffle draw was held on the evening and included a multitude of excellent prizes generously donated by local businesses and tourist attractions such as Leeds and Hever Castles, The Royal Wells Hotel, The Hotel du Vin, Comfort Zone, Garbos, Standfirst Media, Venture photography studios, Crabtree and Evelyn and many, many more.

The event raised a fantastic £2,030 for Shelter, and the evening was well organised, successful and seemed to be enjoyed by all. We are extremely grateful to those who generously donated prizes, and to all those who attended the evening and donated money to the cause.
