Our regulator
We are registered as a Legal Disciplinary Practice in England and Wales, under number 56451, with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), which is the regulatory arm of our professional body, the Law Society. We have to comply with the Solicitors Code of Conduct 2007 and other regulations, details of which can be found, in English, at the SRA website: www.sra.org.uk/rules.
Legal terms and conditions
The terms and conditions which will apply to any work which we do for you will vary depending on the type of work. They will be sent to you with our engagement letter. If you want to see the terms and conditions before you instruct us, please ask for a copy from the person with whom you are dealing.
All of our contracts for legal services are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Professional liability insurance
We have professional indemnity insurance, as required by the SRA, under policy number QF075409, with Travelers Insurance Company Limited, whose Head Office is at 61-63 London Road, Redhill, Surrey RH1 1NA. Our policy covers the part of our practice that is carried on at our offices in England.
VAT information
Thomson Snell & Passmore is VAT registered with number GB 210 327 030.
Complaints
We try to resolve concerns quickly and directly with you. Please contact the person with whom you are dealing or the Senior Partner at the address given above. We will, on request, provide full details of our complaints handling policy.
If we cannot resolve a complaint, the SRA and the Legal Complaints Service provide a resolution process without recourse to the courts. We will provide contact details, on request.
