Thomson Snell & Passmore has appointed K-Cloud and Pilgrim Systems to provide new and innovative business critical IT applications across the firm. K-Cloud provides IT solutions to professional services firms and will provide Thomson Snell & Passmore’s entire IT infrastructure.
Moving to the Cloud will provide Thomson Snell & Passmore with an opportunity to build an infrastructure based on best practice. The inclusion of Pilgrim’s LawSoft as the firm’s new Practice Management System (PMS) will allow the firm to review all of the business processes used within the firm. The firm will take advantage of recent software and hardware advances to simplify business processes, without compromising their implementation by needing to incorporate them into the existing IT infrastructure.
K-Cloud will replace the firm's current IRIS AIM Evolution system with Pilgrim Systems’ LawSoft. This process involves K-Cloud delivering Thomson Snell & Passmore a consolidated service, incorporating LawSoft, Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange and Centurion's BreatheHR solution. K-Cloud will also accommodate the continued use of BigHand and Mimecast.
In April of this year Thomson Snell & Passmore completed a 12 month strategic project on client service, which culminated in the launch of a new website and corporate image. The implementation of this new client focussed IT system will further allow staff to improve the already high level of service they offer to clients.
Thomson Snell & Passmore Senior Partner, James Partridge, commented:
“This is an exciting development for the firm, we have always focused on delivering exceptional client service and we recognised that we could introduce real efficiencies across the firm if we took the opportunity to re-evaluate the IT systems we used. We have taken a strategic approach across the firm throughout 2010 to ensure that we provide the best quality service to our clients in ways which suit them, and also that we offer a modern environment in which our staff want to work. The implementation of this new system follows our rebrand earlier this year and once again cements the firm’s reputation for providing a common sense approach to delivering high quality legal services".
Malcolm Simms, K-Cloud's CEO, said:
"We are delighted to have finalised contracts with Thomson Snell & Passmore. The firm has demonstrated great innovation in adopting this system and have recognised the clear economic, strategic and operational advantages of the K-Cloud proposition"
Pilgrim’s COO Colin Kennedy added, “Thomson Snell & Passmore will enjoy all the benefits of LawSoft just as all our existing clients do; moreover though the firm will never have to concern itself with ensuring it remains abreast of up to date technology in order to continue using LawSoft. The SaaS option pushes responsibility for such activities to the supplier.”
