    Partner, Susanna Gilmartin from our Employment team speaks to The Time’s The Brief and gives her opinion on the new proposed law that will require mandatory gender pay gap reporting from April 2018.

    The proposed law will require mandatory gender pay gap reporting from April 2018 for private employers of 250 staff or more. There was predictable agreement that businesses had better seek legal advice pretty sharpish to ensure they don’t fall foul of any legislation that hits the statute book.

    Susanna commented, “Until such time as there is a real threat of civil or criminal penalties for non-compliance for companies, it is unlikely to be a headline business agenda item for them.”
