Thomson Snell & Passmore today announces two significant hires in the Family team with the appointment of Kirstie Law as a Partner and Helen Waite as an Associate.
Prior to joining Thomson Snell & Passmore, Kirstie was a Partner at another regional law firm where she had worked for 11 years. Kirstie has been practising law since 1995 and specialises in all aspects of family work with a particular emphasis on finance. As well as being a solicitor, Kirstie is a mediator, collaborative lawyer and chairs the West Kent and East Sussex Collaborative Law Group, which she founded.
Kirstie is a member of Resolution – a membership organisation of family lawyers who are committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes – and is acknowledged as an expert in her area in leading independent guides to the UK legal profession. Recent cases include acting for the wife in the successful P -v- P Appeal, which enabled the wife to retain her shareholding in a substantial family company.
Helen Waite joins Thomson Snell & Passmore as an Associate having spent the previous six years at another regional law firm. Helen qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and specialises in divorce and financial relief, wealth preservation and cohabitee disputes. Helen is also member of Resolution and is also trained as a collaborative lawyer.
