  • Overview

Leading South East law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore welcomes three new lawyers to their Commercial Group, including a noteworthy partner lateral hire, Alisa Sweeney who joins from Cripps LLP in the Commercial Property team.

This is part of the firm’s significant investment into the Commercial Group, following the recent appointment of Corporate Partner Keith McAllister, in September.

Alisa’s addition will complement the firm’s existing commercial property offering and also brings a new focus on retail. She has extensive experience in the sector, with a strong interest in restaurateurs, with previous clients including Wagamama. Furthermore Alisa has represented a range of real estate investors, including Prudential Funds, government departments and other occupiers.

Commenting on her appointment Alisa said:

The Thomson Snell & Passmore commercial property team has a fantastic reputation both in the South East and nationally. The opportunities and growth that the firm has to offer are almost unmatched in the region. I am looking forward to working with the team and developing the retail proposition.

The Commercial Group is further enhanced with the addition of one Senior Associate and one Associate to the Dispute Resolution team.

James Cradick joins as a Senior Associate from Stephenson Harwood. As a former barrister and experienced commercial litigation solicitor, James brings considerable experience in general commercial litigation, arbitration, insurance and commodities work. He has particular expertise in resolving disputes in the commodities, shipping and insurance sectors.

Jessica Bermingham joins the firm as a Associate from Bedell Cristin in Jersey. Jessica brings a wealth of experience from working on multi-million pound trust disputes, advising executors of high-net-worth estates, insolvency matters and a wide range of general commercial matters.

    James Partridge, Senior Partner commented:

As the economy improves we are seeing an increase in demand from clients for the broad range of services we provide for businesses. Alisa brings a wealth of experience and will further solidify our standing as commercial property leaders in the South East and London. We are thrilled to be bringing in the New Year with a wave of high calibre appointments with James and Jessica joining the firm and we look forward to future growth in early 2015.
