Notable cases
- Dominique has recently finished a claim for a cyclist who was knocked off his bike by a drunk driver. He shattered his knee-cap and had 4 operations in the following 3 years. One of these operations was paid for privately with an interim payment Dominique obtained from the Defendant's insurers. Mr A will require further operations. His injuries are likely to cause him difficulty working in the future. Dominique recovered nearly £250,000 for Mr A to take account of the severe injury he suffered, his loss of income together with his future needs, including the cost of further private surgery.
- Dominique has recently concluded a case for a gentleman who was knocked over by a forklift truck, he sustained soft tissue injuries and suffered with chronic pain. The claim settled for almost £120,000 to reflect the fact that this gentleman would be unable to return to work.
- Dominique represented a man who was injured at a go-karting race track. His kart broke down and he moved his kart off the track. The marshals failed to stop the other karts on the track. Unfortunately another kart came off the track and collided with Dominique's client. He sustained a severe fracture of his thigh bone. He had numerous operations but would be unable to return to manual work which is all that he had experience in prior to this accident. The claim was pursued against the owners and occupiers of the track who initially denied any liability for the incident. The claim settled for over £250,000.
