Faye Cook

Faye is an experienced Partner who specialises in all aspects of corporate transactions. She has particular expertise in M&A (sale-side and buy-side), EOTs, corporate restructuring, succession / exit planning, Management Buy-outs / Buy-ins and general corporate advisory work. Faye acts for a full range of corporate clients in the mid-market from private limited companies to owner-managed businesses. Her approach is to work closely with her clients from the early stages of a transaction, and work collaboratively with the other advisors and stakeholders involved in order to drive the project smoothly and efficiently to a successful completion.

Faye has been with Thomson Snell & Passmore for over 10 years, having initially trained with the firm. Faye was promoted to Partner in January 2020.

Assisting lead partner with advising on:

• a £600+ million automotive group in connection with regular business acquisitions of motor dealerships around the country
• a £100 million+ specialist construction services group in connection with a variety of acquisitions
• the sellers on share sale to leading worldwide sports-goods retailer
• the sellers of a family run Kent based tyre business to US tyre giant
• the sellers of a clinical randomisation and trial management services business to a US based global biopharmaceutical services organisation
• the buyers on the purchase of the assets of a national charity, in administration
• a historic Kent based printing company in financially distressed management buy out.

Achievements & other appointments

Winner of the Kent and East Sussex JLD Junior Lawyer of the Year Award 2016/2017; and Winner of the Kent and East Sussex JLD Trainee Solicitor of the Year 2015/2016.

Education

Faye studied at the University of Nottingham and graduated with a 2:1 degree in Law with Australian Law.

Faye went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law where she achieved a distinction.
