Kamal has acted as Chair of The Thames Gateway (Kent) Chamber of Commerce, the North Kent Employment Skills Board and as a member of the Thames Gateway Kent Partnership.

Kamal joined the firm in 1992. He became a partner in 1997 and Head of the Thames Gateway office in 2005.
