Achievements and other appointments
Sarah is currently a Deputy District Judge in the Principal Registry of the Family Division in London and has been since 2003. She is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and an accredited Resolution specialist in advanced financial provision and financial advocacy.
Sarah is acknowledged in leading independent guide to UK law firms, Chambers UK 2013, as a leader in her field and is highlighted as “very good and very client focussed”.
Sarah was educated at Malvern Girls College and thereafter at the University of Essex. She completed the training with libel specialists Oswald Hickson & Collier in London and thereafter was a partner in her own practices in Kent with a short spell prosecuting for Sussex Police. She joined Thomson Snell & Passmore in 1984 from her own practice, initially based at Tonbridge.
She is married with one daughter. Her interests include gardening, walking, swimming, holidays, music and reading. Together with her animals, particularly her Golden Retriever and three cats - and of course her husband!
