  • Building Contract Conditions: Negotiating contract conditions and dealing with execution formalities.
  • Security Documents: Review and negotiation of parent company guarantees, performance bonds, retention bonds, advance payment bonds, materials off site bonds, escrow accounts, forward payment mechanisms, second charges for both upstream and downstream purposes.
  • Collateral Warranties and Third Party Rights: Review and negotiation and dealing with vesting notices in relation to Third Party Rights.
  • Consultants: Review and negotiation of consultants’ appointments and deeds of novation.
  • Post Contract Completion procedures: After the execution of a building contract, setting up processes on site to ensure that all parties involved in the construction phase are familiar with the contract terms and what is required of each team member.

Achievements and Other Appointments

Su has worked for Skanska UK Plc since 1993 advising primarily on projects based in the Square Mile. She was an employee of Skanska UK Plc up until 2005 and since then, has been a consultant for them. Her main role at Skanska is to deal with non-contentious construction matters although Su also assists in any IT legal issues they may have.


Su also assisted Amec and Wates in 2005 for 10 months when they required support on tenders.


In August 2010, Su was appointed as a consultant to the JCT.

Su joined Thomson Snell & Passmore as a consultant solicitor in 2010.
