Pleural thickening
Pleural thickening is another condition associated with exposure to asbestos. It also affects the membrane which lines the lung known as the pleura.
Pleural thickening also reduces the lungs' ability to expand fully resulting in a feeling of breathlessness and has varying degrees of resulting disability. As with Asbestosis, pleural thickening may not necessarily affect daily living as it can be 'mild' in its impact.
If you or one of your loved ones has suffered pleural thickening which impacts or impacted upon normal daily living then you may be entitled to certain state benefits and possibly also, depending on the circumstances, compensation through the courts.
Surviving family members such as a wife, partner or children of a pleural thickening sufferer can also take legal action to claim compensation.
Our team has many years experience and specialist knowledge pursing claims for pleural thickening sufferers and their families.
