We handle a wide variety of important IP/IT related disputes. 

We have specialist expertise in copyright, design right, patent and trademark infringements and in passing off, domain name and other IT related disputes. We work closely with colleagues in our Corporate & Commercial team both when they are advising on transactions and when we are putting into effect settlements of IP cases - for example those that involve domain name transfers. We also have good connections with local patent agents. 

Our work is often of immense strategic importance to commercial clients who find that a supplier or manager of a business formerly owned by the client is at an advanced stage of producing a competing product which would seriously threaten the client's business. The stakes can be high but the repercussions of acting without having sufficient proof that the intellectual property rights were both owned by or exclusively licensed to the client, and that they have been infringed, are also high. There is therefore a need to have a detailed knowledge of the law, an ability to understand technical detail quickly and a need to be able to react swiftly but objectively. There is also a need to understand the wider commercial picture. These are the strengths which we bring to such situations.
