We are one of the South East's leading employment teams, advising both employers and employees on all aspects of the employment relationship.
Our team of specialist employment lawyers help prevent employee claims and protect your business against penalties. Whether it's drafting contracts, managing dismissals or anything in between, we will work alongside you to provide insightful, practical and commercial advice, guiding you through the ever-expanding maze of employment law. We pride ourselves on the responsive and flexible service provided by our team.
We act for a very wide range of clients, including businesses of all sizes and all types. Building long-term relationships with our clients gives us an in-depth understanding of your organisation and strategy so that we can provide clear advice and astute recommendations. We have particular expertise in advising clients from the education, charitable, distribution and agricultural sectors.
Recent experience includes:
- advising a national construction firm on the employment aspects of a public sector contract with a local council, including issues relating to the Local Government Pension Scheme
- acting for a multi-national food distribution company in proceedings against current and former employees who were attempting to move over £20 million worth of our client's business to a competitor
- guiding a national insurance broker through the process of consulting with its workforce regarding a site closure
- bringing and defending a variety of claims in the Employment Tribunal, including claims for unfair dismissal.
The employment lawyers at Thomson Snell & Passmore have significant experience and an excellent success rate in dealing with employment tribunal claims. We act for both employer and employee clients and provide commercially driven, strategic and practical advice. To show case our expertise we and our strategic partner barristers from 3 Pump Court Chambers recently hosted a mock employment tribunal to share insight into how cases are conducted and how decisions are reached.
Watch the video vodcast to see a snapshot of how a tribunal claim is run at a final hearing.
