Advising a food and drink sector client on the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954

For a number of years, we have acted for a client who operates in the food and drink sector helping them to manage their large property portfolio. We provide advice and guidance regarding the process of renewing tenancies under Part II of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.

More recently, we have advised the client regarding the 1954 Act and the options available to it where the landlord failed to serve an Acknowledgement of Service form in response to the client’s application to the Court for the grant of a new tenancy.  We also advised on the relevance of the Professional Arbitration on Court Terms (PACT) in light of delays in the Court system.

In addition, we provide the client with a full advisory service in connection with general property related issues such as covenants restricting the use of buildings with reference to the client’s proposed alterations to fit out the premises in the client’s corporate style.
