Assisting our client in the building of a distillery.

We were instructed by our client to assist them in the building of a distillery making gin, vodka and English grain spirit. Our client was able to benefit from us being able worked closely with our Commercial Property team who were dealing with the leasehold acquisition of the property.

We acted for our client by dealing with the full suite of construction documentation. This involved complex and lengthy negotiations by us with the freehold owner of the site and the building. Through taking these steps and engaging with the other side we were able to achieve completion of the project for our client.

Since completion, we are pleased to be able to say that our clients have now officially opened the distillery.  It is unique among distilleries in the area it is based as it carries out all the processes from start to finish using local products. The distillery also hosts tours of the facility, and has an on-site delicatessen and café/bistro selling local produce. This was an extremely important project for our client, and we are delighted to have been able to assist the owners in realising their long held dream.
