  • Overview

The client’s claim resulted from serious breaches of listed building consent by the designer / project manager on a barn conversion project, resulting in a stop notice being issued and the need for fresh permissions to be obtained.

These resulted in major elements of the build needing to be dismantled and long delays to the project and such serious implications to our client’s cash flow that the project has now had to be re-financed and to proceed on a phased basis. The designer / project manager entered into administration and the claim is being pursued against their professional indemnity insurers.
