Dispute relating to prestigious office development and subsequent claim against subcontractor

We acted for our client in relation to a dispute concerning a riverside office development at London Bridge. The dispute related to the failure of glazing to a multi storey glass atrium and a substantial claim against our client by the owner of the building.

We were able to reach a negotiated agreement on terms by which our client will procure the necessary remedial works to replace the failed glazing panels. This negotiation avoided the significant costs involved in the appointment of a third party contractor.

Following the agreement with the owner of the building, we pursued our clients glazing subcontractor. We worked to significantly narrow the issues through the use of target expert evidence, leading to the key issues being listed for a preliminary issue trial. This led to settlement of the matter on favourable terms at mediation.
