Drafting terms and conditions to limit liability for a flying school

Our client operates a flying school and we were engaged to prepare the terms and conditions that would apply to hands-on flying lessons and, for experienced flyers, the hire of rotary-wing aircraft.

In preparing the terms and conditions, we needed to carefully consider the available insurance cover of our client and the extent to which our client could limit its liability.

We also assisted our client in preparing the medical questionnaire and application form that would be completed by its customers, ensuring that these documents dove-tailed with the terms and conditions.

As our client was likely to collect sensitive personal data from the medical questionnaire, we also advised on compliance with data protection issues.
