    We were instructed by a client in connection with the purchase of a high value flat in central London.  As part of the purchase transaction we agreed with the Seller that they would serve a notice claiming a new lease and assign the benefit of the notice to our client.  We drafted and served the statutory notice and associated documents such as a deed of assignment.  As a result the client did not have to wait two years before making a claim during which time there would be a considerable increase in the premium payable.
