  • Overview

    An employee of an insurance company in London approached the Employment team after receiving a settlement agreement. Alexander Millward and Eleanor Hobbs were instructed on this matter.

    Our client was being made redundant after a lengthy period of service. The departure was amicable but the client was unhappy with some of the clauses so instructed the team to negotiate accordingly.

    The Employment team were successful in their negotiations with the employer and were able to agree the following:-

    • an increase of circa £9,000 (taxable);
    • a payment for any accrued but untaken holiday as at the termination date;
    • the retention of our client’s work iPad and iPhone; and
    • an announcement to the company praising and thanking our client for their service.
