Taking advantage of the double tax treaty

Chris advised a film director in a cross-border matter, which is valued at £6 million. Chris provided advice to the client in relation to remaking his UK Will, which took advantage of the UK India IHT double tax treaty.

The client was previously unaware of this treaty and Chris’ assistance in the matter will save the client’s beneficiaries £2.5 million on his death. Chris is continuing to advise the client, by providing guidance in relation to efficient estate planning.
