  • Overview

    Our client is Kit 4 Kids Global Limited; a Sevenoaks-based designer and manufacturer of innovative child sleep and educational products ranging from cot mattresses and sleeping bags to classroom furniture and soft play kits. Kit 4 Kids employs 130 staff across its operations in the UK, Europe, the US and Middle East.

    We assisted Kit 4 Kids on their £3.7 million development capital fund raise with Connection Capital. The aim was to enable Kit 4 Kids to meet increasing demand from existing retail customers for its mattress sales and to promote further business growth and development, both, in the UK and in export markets.

    This transaction involved a shareholder buyout prior to the investment followed by careful structuring of the complicated existing lending arrangement which was to be partially repaid. The transaction smoothly progressed to completion and we safeguarded compliance with cross-jurisdictional due diligence and completion requirements specific to the US, Dubai and Bulgaria in respect of the company’s operations in those jurisdictions.
