Thomson Snell & Passmore has advised Goldex Investments Limited, a major Costa Coffee franchisee in the UK, on the sale of its former subsidiary, Goldex Investments (Surrey) Limited - holder of fourteen trading Costa Coffee stores across Surrey and Kent - to AM Coffee Holdings Ltd.
Established in 2005, Goldex Investments will continue to operate 46 Costa stores across Kent and Sussex as well as national dessert franchise Kaspa's stores.
The Thomson Snell & Passmore team was led by corporate partner Keith McAlister who was supported by corporate solicitor Alex Bishop. Commercial property expertise came from partner Joanne Wright and associate Oliver Butler.
Other advisors involved in the transaction were Bird & Bird LLP (acting for Costa Ltd), Teacher Stern LLP (for AM Coffee Holdings Ltd), and Smith Cooper Corporate Finance (for Goldex Investments Limited).
