  • Overview

A notary is a qualified legal professional who is regulated by the Court of Faculties of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and is subject to regulation by the Master of the Faculties.

Notaries are a separate and distinct legal profession, and the oldest profession in England providing legal services to the public. They are appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and are regarded as equivalent to state officials. Notaries deal with documents required by foreign jurisdictions who accept a notary’s official status to witness, authenticate and certify documents produced or signed in England for use abroad. Like solicitors, they must be fully insured and maintain fidelity cover for the protection of the public and their clients. Notaries must renew their practising certificates every year. However, they can only do so if they have complied with the legal regulations which govern them.

We offer notarial services both for individuals and companies.

Our Notary has expertise in producing certificates, authenticating documents and dealing with the necessary formalities of foreign jurisdictions, and can arrange for your documents to be legalised at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Consulates, if necessary.

To speak to our notary professionals call one of offices in Tunbridge Wells and Dartford Thames Gateway for legal advice.
