Contentious trust and probate welcome a new lawyer to complete the team.
Mollie Ferguson joins newly appointed Partner, Monika Byrska to further expand the department of specialist lawyers at Thomson Snell & Passmore.
Providing help to people affected by a dispute after losing a loved one has been a service that the team has been providing to high net worth clients and people with complex estates for a long time. The new appointments will enable the department to provide an even better service to their clients.
The contentious trust and probate team deal with a wide range of disputes relating to trusts and estates: whether it involves a dispute over the value of assets, the interpretation of a will or a trust instrument, challenging their validity, or dealing with difficult executors, trustees, or feuding beneficiaries. The team act also for trustees and executors in all sort of applications intended to bless the trustees’ and executors’ decisions or approve their accounts.
The team now consists of:
- Nicholas Horton, Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution
- Monika Bryska, Partner
- Amy Wilford, Senior Associate
- Mollie Ferguson, Solicitor.
Nicholas Horton, Head of Dispute Resolution says “Monika and Mollie have been a welcome addition to the already established team. With expertise in all types of contentious trust and probate matters including will, trust and estate disputes, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, we can continue to provide excellent advice to our clients while they are going through a stressful time.”
