  • Overview

Leading South East law firm, Thomson Snell & Passmore, has advised Croydon based couture dancewear company, Chrisanne Limited, on their recent merger with global dancewear specialist, Crystal Clover Limited.  The deal joins together two of the most pre-eminent suppliers to the world of professional ballroom and latin dancewear.

Chrisanne Limited, founded in 1986, has become a leader in the fashion and dance costume industry with a worldwide market. Chrisanne is a recommended wholesaler of Swarovski®, Preciosa® and Radiance Crystals® and its designs are worn by both amateur and professional dancers worldwide. In particular, Chrisanne is a leader in couture and bespoke costumes, designing for many dance champions and celebrities, including those appearing on popular dance television programmes.

The management teams of both Chrisanne and Crystal Clover are remaining in the new venture and will focus on integrating the brands and strengthening their international position in this niche market under the new brand of Chrisanne Clover.

Peter Dobner, Director of Chrisanne commented:

“It was the focus and efficiency of the Thomson Snell & Passmore team which allowed us to complete this transaction in record time and benefit from the integration as early as possible.”

Thomson Snell & Passmore advised the shareholders of Chrisanne throughout the transaction. Commenting on the merger, Joanne Gallagher, a partner in the firm’s Corporate team who led the Thomson Snell & Passmore legal team, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have been asked to advise Chrisanne Limited on this transaction. The deal represents an exciting new chapter for both parties and the combination of their specialist expertise and unique positions in the global market will enable Chrisanne to continue to grow from strength to strength”.
