On the 14 June, 13 walkers from Thomson Snell & Passmore will embark on a 100km trek along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society.
We are trekking to support people living with dementia today and to help find a cure for tomorrow. By taking on the 100km Jurassic Coast Trek, Thomson Snell & Passmore staff hope to raise at least £5,000. This is enough to pay for ten three hour Dementia Café sessions, where people with dementia can socialise, stay active, and gain information and practical tips to help them cope with their condition. £5000 could also pay for the chemicals and consumables needed for a PhD researcher for six months, to continue vital research into understanding the causes of dementia, how it can be treated and, ultimately, to find a cure.
Over the course of three days we will test our physical endurance on this challenging and beautiful route, sleeping in youth hostels along the way.
We would be very grateful for your support (no matter how big or how small). Every pound counts and this is a seriously worthwhile cause. Each team member has invested a significant amount of money in the trek as we are covering our own costs, so all money raised goes to Alzheimer’s Society.
To sponsor the team please see our JustGiving page.
Thank you for supporting our fundraising efforts. Together we can transform the lives of people affected by dementia.
