The Motorline group has recently completed another acquisition to add to its series of business purchases over the last few years.
Motorline acquired the Nissan Newbury dealership from Rowstock Limited, bringing its total number of Nissan dealerships up to eight, making Nissan Motorline’s second largest brand partner.
Following the transaction, the Motorline Group now operates a total of 46 dealerships across the South East, South West and Midlands, plus four Volkswagen TPS centres in the South East.
The Corporate team at Thomson Snell & Passmore, led by Partner and Head of Corporate, Joanne Gallagher, advised the Motorline Group on the acquisition. Joanne was assisted by Faye Cook, Corporate Associate, and Sophie Ogilvie, Commercial Property Associate.
Commenting on the deal, Joanne Gallagher said: “We are absolutely delighted to have acted for the Motorline Group in connection with this transaction. This is a good acquisition and completes the Group’s market area plans following its acquisition of Nissan Oxford last year, and its existing Nissan dealership in Reading. We look forward to assisting the Group in its future plans for expansion and growth in the coming years.”
Glen Obee, Chairman of the Motorline Group said “We are confident that we can build upon the success Rowstock has achieved in the past and benefit from greater scale and efficiencies within our newly expanded territory.”
Thomson Snell & Passmore have acted for the Motoline Group for a number of years, and have advised on a series of acquisitions including the acquisition of the Westlands Motor Group last year, which made Motorline one of the largest Toyota brand partners in the UK.
