The world’s oldest law firm is an early adopter of cutting-edge AI-powered property technology

Thomson Snell & Passmore is embracing the use of Generative AI through its use of Orbital Copilot, the first real estate specific legal AI assistant, positioning itself among the pioneers of this high-tech offering.

Orbital Copilot was launched in January 2024 and the firm is excited to be an early adopter, joining leading city firms including BCLP, Clifford Chance and Macfarlanes.

Thomson Snell & Passmore’s award-winning Real Estate team Is using Orbital Copilot to enhance their focus on delivering essential client services. This innovative software assists lawyers in analysing titles, generating reviews of documents, and providing overall support.

Sarah Easton, Real Estate Partner, emphasised the importance of harnessing the latest productivity tools to ensure quality service for their discerning client base. She noted that their adoption of AI was a natural step in this direction:

Orbital Copilot was developed by UK legaltech, Orbital Witness: a business at the cutting-edge of developments in AI. Its CTO, Andrew Thompson, recently attended the OpenAI Exec Summit with ChatGPT’s CEO Sam Altman, along with other selected leading AI businesses to discuss and explore the advances in AI technology. This will only serve to improve advancements in accuracy and deliverability in this technology for the legal sector.
