  • Overview

Leading South East law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore is pleased to announce that it has doubled its rankings in the Citywealth Leaders List 2018. The firm now has Partners representing each of its Private Client department’s key practice areas – trusts, probate and tax planning – included in the List.

Leading the way is Nicola Plant, Partner and Head of the Private Client department, who has been listed for the third time. This year is also the second time Helen Stewart, Partner and Head of Probate, has been included in the List. Thomson Snell & Passmore’s position in the List is further bolstered by new entries from Mark Politz, Partner and Head of Tax Planning, and Stuart Goodbody, Partner and Head of Trust Management.

Established for 13 years, the Citywealth Leaders List is an annual directory that recognises leading professionals in the private wealth management and private client industry, including lawyers, accountants, private bankers, family offices, private investment offices and trustees. Listed individuals are nominated for inclusion by their peers, and their merits and expertise are then independently verified by Citywealth through the review of peer and client references. Inclusion in the List signifies that an individual’s expertise is recognised and recommended.

The firm’s reputable private client practice is further strengthened by Thomson Snell & Passmore’s ranking as one of Kent’s top law firms for its private client work by the Chambers High Net Worth 2018 Guide. In addition to this firmwide ranking, Nicola Plant and Christopher Walker, a Private Client Partner, have again both been ranked as leading lawyers for private wealth law in Kent. These rankings add to the firm’s six other departments (Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Family, Corporate and Court of Protection) being ranked in Band 1 and 23 lawyers being named as ‘Leaders in their Field’ in the directory’s sister publication, Chambers UK 2018.

James Partridge, Senior Partner at Thomson Snell & Passmore, comments:

“Our Private Client department here at Thomson Snell & Passmore is going from strength-to-strength and we are very proud of this industry-wide recognition of excellence in both the Citywealth Leaders List 2018 and the Chambers High Net Worth 2018 Guide.  As we approach our 450th anniversary in 2020, the firm will continue to put our clients first by providing them with practical, high-quality legal advice, not only in the area of private client work but across all practice areas.”
