Law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore has announced a new two year charity partner with Demelza Hospice Care for Children, which provides specialist care and emotional support for children with serious or terminal conditions. The partnership will see Thomson Snell & Passmore support Demelza through a series of initiatives to secure donations and raise the profile of this vital local charity from June 2022 – June 2024.
Demelza supports families who have children with a serious or terminal condition, throughout their time together. It helps young people with complex needs to get the most from life, achieve ambitions, do new things, and supports their families to manage and thrive.
The charity was selected following a staff vote from a shortlist of six charities, and follows on from previous charity partnerships with ellenor, Tree of Hope and Dandelion Time.
Under the partnership, Thomson Snell & Passmore will support key Demelza events, as well as take part in volunteering opportunities.
Commenting on the partnership, Thomson Snell & Passmore CEO Sarah Henwood said: “We’re proud to have been part of our local area for over 450 years, and supporting those who live and work in our communities to thrive is central to the firm’s ethos. Everyone at the firm is really looking forward to working with Demelza and doing all we can to help support the really important work the charity carries out, and hopefully reach more children and their families who need Demelza’s support.”
Joanna Pratt, Senior Partner at Thomson Snell & Passmore adds: “The firm has a long history of giving back to its local communities through a range of charitable partnerships. I am so pleased that we will be working with Demelza for the next two years as it is a charity which is particularly close to my heart.”
