Thomson Snell & Passmore it pleased to announce it has won Runner-Up Deal of the Year at the Kent Corporate Finance Alliance (KCFA) Awards 2014.
The awards were presented at the Medway Innovation Centre last night and recognise the best deals completed in Kent in 2014.
Thomson Snell & Passmore won Runner-up Deal of the Year 2014 for its role in advising Borelli Tea Holdings Limited on its $19.5m acquisition of Pfunda Tea Company Limited. Kent based Borelli Tea Holdings Limited is a UK subsidiary of McLeod Russel India Limited, a company listed on the Indian Stock Exchange.
Borelli’s acquisition of 90% of the shareholding in Pfunda Tea from UK company L.A.B International Limited is a strategic addition to the group’s existing global operations, and will reinforce McLeod Russel’s status as the world’s largest tea producer.
The Thomson Snell & Passmore legal team was led by Corporate Partner, Joanne Gallagher, with support from Corporate Solicitor, Krishen Patel.
