• Ashley is a commercial, practical and pragmatic Solicitor with extensive employment litigation and advisory experience. She has advised on a broad range of employment law matters including unfair dismissal, redundancy, whistle-blowing and all types of discrimination.
• She regularly advises on Employment Tribunal disputes, litigation tactics and settlement negotiations.
• Ashley provides clients with assistance on day-to-day workplace matters, including advising on managed exits, redundancies and restructuring and disciplinary matters for employers; and settlement agreements for employees.

Client stories & examples of work

• Advising a real estate firm through a restructure and redundancy process and then a complex disciplinary matter that arose during the redundancy process. The advice resulted in the exit of an employee without any claim being made.
• Conducting a disciplinary investigation for a care home with the outcome of an uncontested termination of the employee.
• Defending a charity in the Employment Tribunal against whistleblowing claims and achieving a successful outcome for the client.
• Running a successful race discrimination case for an employee all the way to trial against a police force.

Profile

• Ashley graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a bachelor’s degree in Law (Hons) before completing the Legal Practice Course and a Masters in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law (Bloomsbury), achieving a distinction.  
• Before qualifying as a solicitor in 2018, Ashley gained over 5 years’ experience working in a specialist employment law firm in London.
• Ashley joined Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2021.
