Elizabeth is described by clients as helpful, fast, and efficient going above and beyond for them. An absolute star.

Elizabeth advises on all areas of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. On a day to day basis she assists businesses with a range of employee related issues including disciplinary and dismissal matters, grievances and redundancy situations. She also acts for and advises individuals, in particular advising on settlement agreements and exit arrangements.

Elizabeth is also experienced in acting for clients in bringing and defending employment tribunal claims and has experience of working on High Court claims involving the enforcement of post-termination restrictions.

Client stories & examples of work

Recent examples of some of Elizabeth's work include:

  • Assisting one of the South-East's largest higher and further education colleges with a number of employment issues, to include recently assisting on an employment issues, to include recently assisting on an employment tribunal claim brought against the college for discrimination due to pregnancy and maternity, indirect sex discrimination, harassment and constructive dismissal. All claims were dismissed and tribunal
  • Assisting in preventing High Court action being issued against an individual who downloaded confidential information, shortly before he stepped down as a director of a company
  • Advising an individual who brought claims against his company for discrimination arising from disability, indirect discrimination, failure to make reasonable adjustments and harassment, which were settled on favourable terms ahead of the final hearing.
  • Advising horticultural business on the employment aspects of the sale of the business, including TUPE implications.

Elizabeth acts for a variety of employers of varying sizes. She also provides advice to employees on the recruitment and termination process and how to manage workplace disputes.

Profile

Elizabeth graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a degree in history and politics and went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Waterloo, and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Bloomsbury.

Elizabeth spent three years working as a writer for Bladonmore (Europe) Ltd, an international corporate communications firm based in London. She then completed her training contract at B P Collins LLP in the Thames Valley and joined the Employment team at Thomson Snell & Passmore in August 2016.
