Jennifer is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and has Litigator status with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). She specialises in clinical negligence and personal injury cases. Jennifer joined Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2003 and has since gained valuable experience in a variety of clinical negligence work including:
- Stillbirth and neonatal deaths
- Gynaecological injuries
- Fatal accidents
- Delays in diagnosis of cancer
- Negligent plastic surgery and breast reconstruction cases
- Misdiagnosis and mismanagement of various conditions
- General surgical errors.
She assists with catastrophic brain injury cases including cerebral palsy claims. She has also dealt with a variety of personal injury cases including road traffic accidents and slipping claims.
Jennifer also represents families at Inquests in both Kent and London.
Notable cases
- Jennifer represented a mother at an Inquest into the death of her baby son, who died at one day old, having been born in an extremely poor condition at Darent Valley Hospital. The Coroner recorded a verdict of misadventure.
- Jennifer has represented women in several cases who have had a foreign object left inside them following episiotomy repair after labour.
- Jennifer acted for a lady who successfully claimed compensation for negligent breast enhancement surgery.
- Jennifer has acted for the widow of a patient had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. He suffered from septic shock and due to a delay by the ambulance service in getting him to hospital and a delay in A&E in administering antibiotics, he did not survive.
- Jennifer represented a gentleman in a claim arising out of negligently performed cryotherapy surgery, leaving him with a large scar on his forearm.
