Drafting construction documentation involving a multitude of contractors and consultants

We have been instructed by our client who is currently carrying out a major refurbishment of its London aparthotel. The property is Grade II listed and there are specific design complications to be overcome. The project has to come in within a tight timeframe given the building works required and the need to re-open as soon as possible.

To assist our client with their project we have drafted all of the relevant construction documentation involving the various contractors and a multitude of design and non-design consultants. We have also taken steps to ensure that the proper co-ordination provisions are included for our client as the working space is restricted.

We have been able to guide our client carefully through the whole process which benefits them as they are unfamiliar with the workings of the UK construction industry and the nature and vagaries of the documentation required.

Since being instructed by our client and after the works commenced, our client decided to change the group company which was acting as employer. This meant that we have since had to take steps to have every contract and consultancy appointment novated in order to ensure all the documentation is up-to-date and correct.
