Work experience is a vital opportunity for students to gain exposure to various employment options and help to determine future decisions relating to your career. We work hard to provide students with a real insight into the legal sector and the role of a Trainee Solicitor.
Work placements for students at undergraduate level
Each year we provide the following work placement schemes for undergraduates, based at our Tunbridge Wells office:
- A one-week work placement during the Easter period
- A two-week work placement during the Summer period
The placements consist of spending time with our Trainee Solicitors. Students gain important insights and information about the role of a Trainee Solicitor and the training contract at Thomson Snell & Passmore. Students also benefit from the diverse range of practice areas by spending time in Private Client and Commercial practice teams. The Summer placement includes a group project which culminates in a mock Employment Tribunal or mediation run by lawyers at the firm.
